House Rules:
All these conditions apply to plot 310 Hoek v/d Alampia & Kalaweg north of Boomskreek and east of the Nieuwe Charlesbrugweg (hereinafter referred to as Guesthouse-Mina) in Paramaribo, Suriname.
Arrival and Departure
Upon arrival you will receive the keys to “Guesthouse-Mina” (you must return them upon departure). At arrival and departure you may check in at Apartment 7, which is the adjacent owner’s property. On the day of arrival you can, in principle, use “Guesthouse-Mina” from 3:00 PM. On the day of departure you must have vacated the holiday home by 10:00 AM. All costs that arise because you do not return the property on time will be charged to you. Items found after your departure we will keep for a reasonable period on your behalf, but we assume no responsibility for them. Re‑transportation can only be on your expense.
Use of Guesthouse-Mina
We assume that you will use Guesthouse‑Mina neatly, so that the next guests can also enjoy it. Smoking and pets are not allowed in Guesthouse‑Mina. Barbecuing with the provided BBQ is allowed (it must be left clean before leaving the property). The use of gas, water and electricity is, however, included, but we ask you to use them sparingly.
Subletting or re‑renting is expressly prohibited. Staying with more people than agreed in the reservation, or exceeding the maximum number allowed for that property, is strictly not allowed without our permission and may lead to early termination of the lease on our part, without refund of rental fees.
Moving cabinets and beds, as well as audio or television equipment, or taking any part of the interior inventory outside—except, of course, for tableware, glasses and cutlery for your meals outside—is expressly prohibited.
Please remember to close all doors and windows carefully if you leave the holiday home midway or upon departure.
Upon departure you must:
1. Have done the dishes.
2. Have removed the beds (linen would be appreciated in the bathroom).
3. Have emptied the trash cans.
4. Leave the house broom‑clean (note also under furniture and beds!).
5. Do not leave food items and other household items in the cupboards (these can hinder cleaning and may attract pests!).
6. Report any breakage or damage to the house manager.
7. Leave the fridge and freezer empty.
The landlord has the right to inspect and check the holiday home during the rental period.
If the tenant, their family members, their lodgers, or visitors invited by them fail to comply with the obligations from the conditions, the behavioral rules, the instructions of the landlord or his observer, or the governmental regulations, despite any prior warning, or comply only to such an extent that, according to the landlord's standards of reasonableness and fairness, it cannot be required that the rental continue, the landlord or the appointed observer has the right to terminate the agreement immediately and deny the tenant and co‑tenants access to the property, without refund of rent. This includes, in particular, failing to respect quiet hours or unnecessarily causing disturbance!
Damage and Defects
You are advised to inspect the holiday home and its inventory carefully for defects and shortcomings upon arrival. If you notice damage or defects, you must report them immediately to the house manager. If the damage was caused by your actions and/or is not the result of normal use or wear, we will charge you for the repair or replacement costs.
Liability
We do not accept liability for:
• Theft, loss or damage of any kind during or as a result of your stay in our holiday home.
• The failure or disabling of technical equipment, utilities, or facilities of the house.
• Calamities, in any form, that could compromise your stay.
• The tenant is jointly liable for all loss and/or damage to the holiday home, the garden and its furnishings (inside and outside), and/or the house’s property, if this results from your own actions or negligence or that of third parties who are in or around the house with your permission.
Applicability of the Rental Conditions
If the lease agreement is formed (this occurs as soon as we confirm your booking; taking an option does not fall under this), you agree to the rental conditions. The lease ends automatically after the agreed period expires.
